Birds of the world are unevenly distributed. Some countries are very rich on bird species, especially located on South America. For example Colombia with its 2040 species is the number one in this rating, Venezuela - 1460 species. Other countries may be bigger but have no such variety: 1447 species in China, 1199 species in USA, 817 species in Russia, 721 species in Canada.
