DiBird — Birdwatching Platform

A production birdwatching app built entirely by me: React Native mobile client, Django REST backend, PostgreSQL database, push notifications, releases to both stores, localization, and ongoing maintenance. 11,250+ species dataset, production users, App Store + Google Play releases.

Mobile app

React Native + Expo app published to App Store and Google Play from a single codebase. Offline sync, push notifications, map integration, community leaderboard, English + Russian localization, runtime language switching, light/dark/auto theme, Face ID lock.

Backend

Custom Django REST API with PostgreSQL. Handles authentication, observations, 11,250+ species data, user statistics, privacy-first location handling (observations shifted 6×6 km), field diaries, leaderboards.
